Can two unlikely teammates turn chaos into a champion poster?

Zach’s wild ideas and Emma’s perfect plans don't seem to fit. But with a big science competition on the line, the pair must learn to listen, compromise, and cheer each other on. Along the way, they’ll discover that being different can be the secret to success… and that the best part of any project is making a new friend.

Bursting with Australian animals, creativity, and heart, this inclusive story is perfect for anyone who’s ever felt just a bit out of place.

Behind the Story

The idea for this story came from meeting a mum at the markets where I sell my books. Her son was 10 and had been recently diagnosed with ADHD. She was looking for stories to help him understand how his brain worked. I work with lots of neurodivergent kids and feel passionate about this topic so I wanted to write a story for this by I'd never met. I wanted to show some of the struggles neurodivergent kids can have in the classroom and some strategies they may use to help them regulate and cope.
