A fabulous rural romance set in Western Australia. I adored this book, from the shiny gold-embossed cover to the letters scattered within. I barracked for this couple to get together the whole way through. I love the best friends to lovers trope and enjoyed Sasha's take on this.
One More Song by Nicki EdwardsMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
I adore Nicki Edward's writing style. I've read all her books and couldn't wait to get my hands on this one. I love the combination of medical and rural romance - all the small town busybody issues without the farm equipment. And this time, there's a bit of rock star romance thrown in.
Ache by Eliza Henry-JonesMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
I heard lots of buzz about this book and it was all well deserved. A beautifully written exploration of the aftermath and regrowth of an Australian bushfire.
The Inaugural Meeting of the Fairvale Ladies Book Club by Sophie GreenMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
It was a joy to discover this book only months after I moved away from the Northern Territory. Sophie brought the unique Northern Territory outback setting to life in a vivid and realistic manner. I enjoyed the different voices of the women, empathised with their isolation and felt their friendships grow. A book about a book club - what more could a book lover ask for?
A Chance Of Stormy Weather by Tricia StringerMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
I met Tricia at an author event at my local library. I bought myself a signed edition of the paperback but ended up listening to the audiobook. The narrator was fabulous and brought more depth to the story.
This book was originally published several years ago under a different title and has been revised with updated technology. Just as many mice, though. A great rural romance set on a sheep farm in South Australia.
The Paris Wedding by Charlotte NashMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
A second chance romance with gorgeous settings ranging from an Aussie wheat farm in rural New South Wales to the city of Paris.
I listened to the audiobook edition. The narrator was well matched to the story and gave it another level of depth. Loved it.
