Hey Everyone!
My kids and I have just discovered the Sword Girl series by Frances Watts. It is a middle grade fiction, fantasy, adventure, mystery kind of thing. The series is complete, with six books. Here are our reviews of the first three.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This is the first book in the series. I read this aloud to my 4 year old daughter and 6 year old son as a bedtime story over two nights. They both loved Tommy, especially because my son's name is Tom. They also loved the fact that the animals could talk. This was a great little fantasy adventure story. We plan to read the rest of the series.

This is the second book in the series. I read this aloud to my 4 year old daughter and 6 year old son as a bedtime story over two nights. My son corrects me if I accidently say crocodile "He's a crocodiddle Mum". My son also loved to check with me "does droppings mean poo?" - yes it does. Another great fantasy adventure with a strong female character.
Tournament Trouble by Frances Watts
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Book three in the series. I read this aloud to my 4 year old daughter and 6 year old son as a bedtime story over two nights. We have been reading the series all in a row as the kids have been really enjoying it. A great fantasy adventure with a bit of a mystery. I would talk with the kids about why they thought things were happening and guess different reasons that the horse was being mean to Tommy. Looking forward to the next one.
