Refreeding

Refreeding

Hey Everyone!

Refreeding of course means reading a book for free again. I used to reread my favourite books a lot, but I haven't been doing it so much lately as there are so many books I haven't read that I want to. As Frank Zappa said "So many books, so little time". I have just read a book again that I read last year. I decided to do that when I found out that a movie version is to be released in Australia in late January 2015. It was a 5 star read that has stayed with me since and then I spotted it on NetGalley. Here are both my reviews.

Still AliceStill Alice by Lisa Genova
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved this book. The story is told from the perspective of Alice, an academic woman who is diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's Disease. This story gives insight into what it is like for the person who has Alzheimer's. The writing style drew me in and caught me up emotionally. It is a story that has stayed with me long after I finished reading and one I have personally recommended to many of my friends.

Still Alice Still Alice by Lisa Genova
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the second time I have read this book. It drew me in emotionally just as much this time around. The story is told from the perspective of Alice, but not in the first person. This slight distance and the slightly clinical descriptions really suit the character and are an effective writing style. I read this again because I found out a movie is being released soon.

I received this book free from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
