This is the first book in the Mortal Instruments series. I listened to the audiobook. The narrator was good and her youthful voice suited the story. I enjoyed the fast paced story but it didn't draw me in enough to continue with the series. As I was reading, I thought it would translate well to the big screen, and it has been made into a movie which I may watch one day. I can't put my finger on any particular faults with the book, so maybe I just wasn't really in the mood for this after all.
