This is the ninth book in the Toronto series, but can be read as a stand alone novel. I haven't read any of the other books and didn't feel like I was missing anything.
I loved Melissa and found myself mentally giving her relationship advice as I read. It's not a good idea to discuss your past relationships on a first date, but it's probably a discussion you should have before you get married, or something like this could happen.
With a light-hearted chick lit style, this novel delved into the deeper issue of what is important to make a marriage work and what are realistic expectations.
