Eigengrau by Dawn Pearson

Eigengrau by Dawn Pearson

In the chapbook Eigengrau, a collection of poetry demonstrates the intrinsic light in everyday life. Eigengrau is intended as a contemplative resource, particularly for those gray winter mornings or seasons of life.

Hey! Here's my review.

On a cold dark night, when you close your eyes
And all you can see is nothing
That's Eigengrau
Contrastless
Grey

It feels like winter
Cold and damp
One sided warmth of a crackling fire
The stiff fur of an old cat

It sounds like a contemplative mew
The soft fall of snow
The pop of sap in the fire
Twenty Five different sounds

Some made me smile
Some made me think
Some made me look in the mirror
At the wrinkles
