Hey Everyone!
I finally made it to a real life book club! In my first post I talked about how I'd had trouble finding and getting to a real life book club, so I turned online and joined NBRC. Well, almost 4 months ago I saw a note in my son's school newsletter advertising a book club. I decided to check it out. I got in touch with the person running it and joined the Facebook group (see everything is online!). I had just missed that month's meeting. September rolled around, then the meeting got cancelled because so many people couldn't make it. October......I couldn't make it.....So finally November. Yay!
It was only a small group, but it was so much fun to get out of the house and talk to people about books and of course share my love of freeding. The two books we formally discussed were:
The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I enjoyed this book. There is alot of time line jumping because of the time traveling. This can be difficult to keep track of, though it makes more sense once you realize that the book is based along Clare's time line. I found the movie version more emotionally involving.
Which I haven't read.
But of course there was a multitude of other books that were mentioned. My to-read list is growing and growing.....
